Heute Morgen frage ich mich, während ich mir die verdammten Schuhe anziehen muss: Was? Wie möchte ich eigentlich die nächsten 50 Jahre meines Lebens verbringen? Maske dabei? Ich raffe mich also auf zu noch einem Semester Kunstausbildung, was will man schon machen, jede hat ihr Päckchen zu tragen und irgendwer muss den Job schließlich auch erledigen. Drei-Tage-Woche schien eben gerade noch hinnehmbar gewesen zu sein, jetzt kann aber auch alles schon wieder ein bisschen anders sein… Aha.
Neulich las ich: “These experimental exercises include the ‘possible appointment’. Here, the subject is asked to find themselves alone, at a precise time, in a preordained place. No one is there to meet them.”*
Diesmal deswegen alles ganz anders: Arbeitszeit am Wochenende, 10:30 bis 18:00 Uhr (inkl. Mittagspause und Pause am Nachmittag), gearbeitet werden wird mit bereitgestellten spezifischen, eher ärmlichen Materialien. Es gibt einige strikte Regeln, an die sich alle zu halten haben.
Am Donnerstag, 12. Mai um 19 Uhr wird das Ergebnis des Experiments (Das Wochenende, an dem wir nicht tun durften, was wir wollten) gezeigt, zu dessen Präsentation Sie hiermit ganz herzlich eingeladen sind.

The weekend we were not allowed to do what we wanted.
As I put my damn shoes on this morning I asked myself: Huh? Is this how I actually want to spend the next 50 years of my life? With a mask on? So I get up and prepare for another semester of art education. What else can I do? Everyone has baggage to carry and someone has to do the job after all. The three-day week still seems tolerable. Now everything can be a bit different again… Aha.
The other day I read: “These experimental exercises include the ‘possible appointment’. Here, the subject is asked to find themselves alone, at a precise time, in a preordained place. No one is there to meet them.”*
Therefore, this time everything is quite different: work is taking place during the weekend, 10:30 a.m. to 6:00 p.m. (including lunch and afternoon breaks) and accomplished with the presupplied, specific but rather poor materials. There are some strict rules that everyone has to follow.
The result of the experiment (The weekend we were not allowed to do what we wanted) will be shown on Thursday, May 12, at 7:00 p.m.
